- Round 12: 10 sc
- Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Armor:
- Front: With beige yarn, repeat instructions for head through Round 29.
- Back: With beige yarn, repeat instructions for body through Round 29.
- Bottom: With brown yarn, work Rounds 1-8 of body pattern.
- To attach the front and back of the armor, join the two pieces at the top with a single crochet.
- Fill the armor with stuffing.
- To attach the bottom of the armor, join the two pieces with a single crochet.
Circles:
- With light green yarn, make 13 circles: 3 for the paws, 2 for the legs, and 3 for the head.
- With brown yarn, make 7 circles: 3 for the shell and 4 for the back of the shell.
Eyes:
- With CottonGold yarn, make 2 black circles and 2 white circles.
Assembly:
- Sew the head to the body.
- Sew the black circles to the white circles.
- Embroider the eyes with black thread.
- Sew the front of the armor to the belly of the turtle.
- Sew the upper paws to the body, 28 rows down from the top.
- Sew the lower paws to the body, 11-12 rows down from the top.
- Sew the back of the armor to the turtle.
- Sew the circles to the turtle, as desired.
