This knit pi shawl gracefully blends Elizabeth Zimmermann’s traditional construction with fresh textures. While many knitting pi shawls employ only lace knitting patterns, this one focuses on rich texture and motion, drawing the eye from the center outward and then around the circumference of the circle as the chevrons point the way. The stitch knitting patterns used are very simple and can easily be memorized, but the resulting fabric is mesmerizing.
