I found this beautiful knitting blanket pattern on Ravelry.
Beautiful bulky wool is showcased in this textured pattern that reminds of brick streets found in several European cities. The main color is worked back and forth in a rectangle. Then, stitches are picked up along the perimeter in a contrasting color to frame the blanket with garter stitch. Different yarn weights can easily be substituted for varying blanket sizes.
